to the Middle East now and thousands of
people have again joined rallies across
Israel demanding a ceasefire deal in
Gaza.

The demonstrators say the military's
plans to seize control of Gaza City will
endanger the lives of the remaining
hostages. The former defense minister
Benny Gance has called for the
opposition to join a temporary unity
government to help free the captives. In
Gaza itself, the Hamas run health
ministry has recorded more than 60
deaths from Israeli strikes and
malnutrition in the past day. This was
Dar Bala in central Gaza following an
Israeli air strike. Earlier, S J Shiada
from BBC Arabic brought us up to date.
>> Since October 2023, the families of
hostages and their supporters going to
demonstration every week in order to put
pressure on Mr. Netanyahu uh to have a
deal with Hamas. Only two deals were
done in November 2023. Uh then another
one in January this year and since then
there is nothing happened because uh Mr.
Netanyahu determination to use force and
military might to uh force Hamas and
defeat Hamas and let Hamas to surrender
and uh give up uh what they have and
hand the hostages. But on the other
hand, Hamas refusing to do that uh on
the Israeli conditions. So the families
of hostages and their support still have
hope and one of them uh one of the
protester is the brother of one of the
hostage held said instead of Mr.
Netanyahu saving lives he sentencing the
living hostages uh to uh death. In
addition to that he put the lives of the
soldier into death in a war is as he
described it uh needless eternal war uh
which achieved its military objectives
long time ago. So there is no need for
this war. So these a talk from within
the people uh in Israel and there's more
pressure also from the politician in
addition to the demonstrators. So Benny
Gans as was mentioned the former defense
minister said it's a time for what he
called a government of redemption for
hostages and service members uh mainly
the soldiers and people involved in from
Israel in the Gaza war. and asking this
one will be uh for 6 months then we'll
uh held an elections but after what uh
Mr. said it marbling fear. The national
security minister said it's not against
government. The government of the people
they choose is the right wing and this
policies will not accept what he called
a surrender deal with Hamas. So he put
uh you know doubts on any potential deal
to happen with Hamas not according to
the condition of Israel which is
releasing all hostages no stop like war
and carrying on the war until you defeat
Hamas and this contradictory in itself
but this position of Mr. Netanyahu his
supporter from the right wing and he is
against everyone else from inside Israel
from around the globe except the
president of United States Mr. Trump who
supporting Mr.
all the way and as far as uh Mr. Trump
is supporting him military speaking and
what the French president said before
Emanuel Macro as far as Americans
supporting Israel and the main provider
of weapons and also like you know like
financial support there is no way for
Mr. Netanyahu to give it up because he
believes Mr. Netanyahu in defeating
Hamas in using force to release the
hostages so this the determination of
Mr. Netanyahu. So it seems that the
protests, the politician calls were not
to change his mind for the time being.
